Daniel Lopez Rubio
Firm Manager and Attorney
Daniel is a blend of different cities and cultures. His passion is to serve those in need. Daniel’s formative years were split between Chicago and Miami, where he was surrounded and influenced by entrepreneurs who understood the value of community and innovative thinking.
At home, Daniel’s Cuban and Puerto Rican parents spoke to him only in Spanish, and taught him the importance of compassion and creativity.
As an undergraduate student, Daniel studied international business and finance at Florida International University.
In Alabama, Daniel attended and graduated from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law, where he was an active member of the negotiation team and the Hispanic Interest Law Student Association.
Today, Daniel is a member of the Alabama Bar, and enjoys gardening and spending time with his wife and kids.
Christopher Randolph Simmons
Attorney of Counsel
Christopher is a South Alabama lawyer helping people all over Alabama with their family and criminal needs. He is a graduate from The University of Alabama and the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. Before becoming an attorney, Christopher worked in Washington D.C. as a congressional staffer, where he ensured that constituents were heard by their congressman.
Christopher then returned to Alabama to take the Alabama Bar, so that he could ensure his clients have a voice in the judicial system. Attorney Simmons is committed to empowering people to help themselves better their legal position.
When Christopher is not working at the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs, as well as occasionally playing golf.
Brian Fredrick DeMarco
Attorney of Counsel
Brian is an Alabama attorney who focuses his practice on helping families grow through adoption. He has handled several cases involving same-sex adoptions and stepparent adoptions. For Brian, ensuring that a child has a loving home is extremely important. As a father and attorney, Brian aims to help safeguard families’ legal rights.
Brian also is well versed in helping families prepare for sickness and death, by arming people with wills, trusts, health care directives, and powers of attorney. Mr. DeMarco understands that proper legal planning can ease the burden on a family when a difficult situation presents itself.
Brian graduated from the Birmingham School of Law with honors, and he holds two degrees from UAB in Political Science and History. He enjoys being an active father, watching Barons baseball, and helping around the house.
Mayda Solis Machado
Legal Assistant
Ms. Solis Machado is a former Spanish schoolteacher and academic advisor with 25 years of experience. After moving from Puerto Rico to Alabama, she joined our legal team. Mayda provides our staff and clients vital support with day-to-day operations and case management.
Mayda holds a college degree in secondary education and a master’s degree in school counseling, and affectionately refers to the team of lawyers and mediators as her students. She is a proud mother and grandmother, who enjoys watching a good telenovela and knitting.
